Crapo Statement on Meeting With Treasury Secretary Nominee

Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) released the following statement after meeting with Scott Bessent, President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury:

"The Treasury Secretary will play a pivotal role in preserving the Trump tax cuts and shaping additional policy to reignite the economy. Scott's an accomplished business leader who understands the importance of preserving and building on the pro-growth tax policies that have spurred job creation, led to higher wages and allowed taxpayers to keep more of what they earn. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure he is confirmed as quickly as possible."
