Seven2 recruits BCG veteran and AI Specialist François Candelon as Partner for Value Creation & Portfolio Monitoring to enhance Value Creation for its portfolio companies

Paris, 16 July 2024 - Seven2 (formerly Apax Partners) has consistently aimed to optimize value creation for its portfolio companies by integrating top-tier experts (sector-specific, industrial restructuring, digitalization, etc.) into its teams. Today, Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerges as the crucial pivot for business transformation. Consequently, Seven2 has enlisted François Candelon, former senior partner at BCG and AI specialist, who has advised numerous companies worldwide over the past 30 years, helping them confront their business models with this new technological leap and, more broadly, in their strategy, transformations, and pursuit of operational excellence.
François will be responsible for leading the Value Creation & Portfolio Monitoring team at Seven2, consisting of three members and supported by over fifteen Senior Advisors and board members. This team will work closely with executives and their teams to develop effective value creation plans and accelerate their implementation.
With 30 years of experience at BCG, François will particularly focus on leveraging current trends in sustainability and Artificial Intelligence to drive growth for our portfolio companies. He will also assist our portfolio companies in improving their operational processes, defining and executing their growth strategies, and leading transformation or restructuring initiatives as necessary.

François Candelon, 56, is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Mines de Paris.
He began his career at BCG, where he spent over 30 years assisting numerous companies with strategy, operational excellence, and post-merger integration issues. At BCG, he was notably responsible for the Telecom sector, Chief Operating Officer of BCG Greater China, where his clients included major Chinese Tech companies, head of AI transformations for the Tech and Telecom sectors, and finally Global Director of the BCG Henderson Institute, where he dedicated his research to the adoption of AI by traditional companies.
