Mobile Workforce Center also supporting the state's disaster recovery efforts that are assisting Iowans.

DES MOINES, IOWA - The IowaWORKSMobile Workforce Center is deploying to several Northwest Iowa communities to support Iowans and the state's disaster recovery efforts this summer.

These efforts are a key function of the Mobile Workforce Center, which is designed to respond quickly to a number of situations and provide the same level of workforce services found in a brick-and-mortar office. Along with staff that can make connections to a broad set of workforce services, the vehicle will be equipped with Wi-Fi, laptops, and a printer to support impacted Iowans.

Staff also will be supporting any Iowans in nearby areas that are eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA), which recently became available in several Northwest Iowa counties. DUA is available to Iowans whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted due to disaster events in counties listed under a Presidential Disaster Declaration.

Visit this link for more informationabout the services provided by the Mobile Workforce Center. Additional information on DUA can also be found on IWD's website.
