Manchin Introduces Bipartisan Resolution Designating May 6-10 As National Teacher Appreciation Week

Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) joined his bipartisan colleagues in introducing a resolution to designate Monday, May 6 to Friday, May 10, 2024 as National Teacher Appreciation Week. This resolution recognizes the critical work of teachers in West Virginia and across the nation and thanks them for their dedication to preparing students for lifelong success.

"West Virginia's teachers are the backbone of our state," said Senator Manchin. "I'm proud to join my colleagues in designating this week as National Teacher Appreciation Week as a small gesture to honor and thank our teachers for their hard work educating the next generation. Their tireless dedication is truly commendable, and I'm grateful for the terrific work they do every day."
