Bojangles Honors Franchisee Excellence with Community Brand Ambassador and Star Performer Awards

Bojangles is proud to announce the recipients of its 2024 Community Brand Ambassador and Star Performer Awards, which recognize franchisees who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to both their guests and their communities. These awards highlight franchisees across various operational scales, from those managing one to 10 restaurants to those leading more than 25 locations, honoring their commitment to the Bojangles brand, operational excellence and meaningful community involvement.

"Our franchisees are essential to Bojangles' success, and we're incredibly proud of their commitment to our brand and the communities they serve," said David Whitaker, chief operating officer at Bojangles. "These awardees embody our Bojangles' dedication to quality and service."

The Community Brand Ambassador Awards are given to franchisees who exemplify Bojangles' commitment to serving and engaging their communities with dedication and passion, and the winners are as follows:

One to 10 Restaurants Category - Marco and Mayra Acevedo, MM Hospitality Group: Marco and Mayra Acevedo have led their locations to significant sales and guest count growth, while also enhancing their restaurants with updated signage and exterior remodels. Acevedos' deep-rooted community involvement is extensive, partnering with local health departments to support mass vaccination events and organizing "Bo-Berry with a Cop" gatherings, which foster positive connections between law enforcement and the community. They've also hosted fundraising events with the fire department to support local schools and remain active members of their local Chamber of Commerce.

11 to 25 Restaurants Category - Jennifer and Mark Kiskunas, Bo Benton: Jennifer and Mark Kiskunas deliver top-notch guest service in Myrtle Beach. In addition to maintaining modern, inviting facilities across greater Myrtle Beach, they champion community initiatives, partnering with schools, police and fire departments and hospitals, and even supporting the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. The Kiskunas' have also expanded their community outreach through catering local events across North and South Carolina, sharing Bojangles' flavors with new audiences.

The Star Performer Awards honor franchisees whose operational excellence and dedication to the guest experience have set an industry benchmark.

One to 10 Restaurants Category - Mike White and Gary Huffman, HuffBo: White and Huffman have achieved impressive sales and guest count growth, creating a "welcome home" feeling that resonates with guests and reflects the heart of the Bojangles brand. Their community engagement includes partnerships with local schools, faith organizations and involvement in various local events, from golf tournaments to fire and rescue collaborations and support for Hugh Chatham Hospital.

11 to 25 Restaurants Category - Joe Millikin and Jason Gilbert, Randolph Restaurant Group: Millikin and Gilbert are recognized for their operational consistency and guest-centric focus, resulting in notable growth across their locations. Their commitment to quality is seen in their modern, well-maintained facilities and their community presence includes partnerships with schools, local events and support for various charitable organizations in their region.

More than 25 Restaurants Category - Tommy and Donna Haddock: As operators of some of the highest-performing units in the Bojangles system, the Haddocks achieved impressive sales and guest growth in 2024. Their dedication to excellence includes multiple restaurant remodels and the opening of two new locations. They are active community supporters, partnering with local schools and colleges, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which further solidifies their role as outstanding representatives of Bojangles.
