Anastasia Shteinert on High-Risk Reporting in Russia

Anastasia Shteinert is a Russian-born journalist and content creator. Before relocating to New York in February 2022, Anastasia worked as a political reporter in Saint Petersburg and Moscow. She collaborated with Russian publications such as Vedomosti, Delovoy Petersburg, Diletant, Holod, Vot Tak, and Echo of Moscow radio station.

Her recent essays and interviews related to Russia's war against Ukraine have been published in English-language outlets, including Teen Vogue, Public Seminar, and Eurozine.

Anastasia received her B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Saint Petersburg State University, Russia, and her M.A. in Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism from the New School, NY.
