2025 Pet License - Register by December 31^st!

Enhanced Enforcement Begins January 1, 2025

The City of Fort Madison requires that all dogs and cats over the age of six (6) months be licensed. To register your pet, the City of Fort Madison will need to see proof of a current rabies vaccination certificate and spay/neuter certificate.

Owners who have not purchased tags will be cited. Court appearance required.

October 1^st - December 31^st

Spayed or Neutered - $10.00

Not Spayed or Neutered - $20.00

*Penalty fee of $10.00 will be applied beginning January 1, 2025.

Prices After December 31^st

Spayed or Neutered - $20.00

Not Spayed or Neutered - $30.00

Maximum of four (4) pets allowed per household.

• PAW Animal Shelter, 1931 48^th Street
• Walljasper Vet Clinic, 2135 303^rd Avenue
