IndyGo to Host 2nd Back to School Night at the Carson Transit Center to Increase Personal and Economic Mobility and Independence for Youth

INDIANAPOLIS - Returning for its second year, IndyGo's annual Back to School Night will take place Thursday, July 25, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Julia M. Carson Transit Center (CTC).

This highly anticipated event is for individuals 18 years and younger who wish to learn new life skills and achieve greater independence by using public transit to travel to and from school and anywhere else throughout the city.

During this event and while supplies last, IndyGo will offer a free backpack donated by New Direction Church to any student who obtains their personalized, reduced-fare MyKey card. IndyGo will also offer travel training to help students and their families learn how to use the agency's bus network.

Students who are enrolled in any of IndyGo's partnering schools or programs listed below are eligible to receive a personalized MyKey card. This gives them unlimited access to IndyGo's entire bus network at no direct cost to them or their families, for as long as they are enrolled at the school. IndyGo encourages students to get a completed Program Enrollment Form from their school administrator prior to attending the event; however, one will not be required for this event. Students who are not enrolled at a participating high school are also eligible to receive a personalized reduced-fare MyKey card at no cost during this event, which they can immediately use to ride at IndyGo's half-fare rate by purchasing transit value online or at the CTC.

• Metered parkingalong East Washington and North Delaware streets.
• Parking Lot:301 E. Washington St. | $10 for two hours.
• Virginia Avenue Garage:155 S. Delaware St. | $10 for two hours.
