Library Team Member Spotlight: Daphne Ferris

Daphne Ferris is a Senior Librarian at the Central Library Express.

• Why did you become a librarian?

I became a librarian because I want to give back to the community I live in. I also love that being a librarian lets me utilize my creative side and allows me to engage in lifelong learning.

• What is your favorite book and movie?

Honestly, asking me to name a favorite book or movie is like asking me to name a favorite band or song. I cannot narrow it down to just one. I can say that I love crime fiction and thriller books and movies best.

• What's your favorite part of being a librarian?

I love serving and interacting with the community, whether in one of our library locations or out in the community.

• What's your favorite sandwich?

I actually love a good, crusty, French bread with brie cheese.

• Anything else you'd like to share?

I love listening to all kinds of live music.
