State Police arrest Johnstown man for stealing narcotics.

Press Release

On October 28, 2024, State Police of Fonda arrested Wayne M. Allan, 34, of Gloversville, NY, for Grand Larceny in the third degree, Falsify Business Records in the first degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

On October 28, 2024, at about 3:34 p.m., Troopers received a report of a possible fraud. The investigation determined Allan was employed by a Volunteer Ambulance Corporation out of St. Johnsville, NY. Part of his employment responsibilities was to keep inventory records of medications used by the organization, including narcotics. Allan allegedly falsified Business Records on multiple occasions to divert narcotics to himself from 2023-2024, resulting in the theft of the nefariously obtained drugs valued at more than $3,000. During the investigation, Allan was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Allan was arrested and processed at SP Mayfield. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Amsterdam City Court on November 12, 2024, and released.
