Now is the time to share your "official" name ideas for The Olympia Armory, Yelm Highway Community Park and Kaiser Woods Park. The final deadline to suggest a permanent name on the Engage Olympia website is Friday, September 27.
Suggestions should consider history, culture, past contributions, area features, plus the nearby and wider community. Visit engage.olympiawa.gov/project-naming to review the selection criteria and submit, or support, a possible name.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) will host a public hearing at 6 p.m. on October 17, 2024 at the Olympia Armory, 515 Eastside St SE, to review and gather public comment on suggested names. PRAC will then make recommendations for the Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation Department to present to the City Council, who will make the final selections.
