Honoring Our Veterans

OPEIU proudly honors the contributions of our nation's veterans today, tomorrow and every day.

More than 1.6 million active union members are military veterans. Many are members of the Union Veterans Council, an AFL-CIO constituency group devoted to improving the lives of veterans at work and in our communities.

Veterans play an integral role at every level of the labor movement and we are proud to honor them this Veterans Day.
