Meet Mother Nature at Daggerwing

Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. It is located in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS & TALKS

MOTHER NATURE & ME: COLORS IN NATURE

Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

BUTTERFLY GARDENING
Saturday, September 7, 10 a.m.
Ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Learn all about local butterflies and discover how to attract them with a
butterfly garden. Find out which plants are best to attract a multitude of species and enjoy a guided tour of Daggerwing Nature Center's butterfly garden.

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: BIRDS
Tuesday, September 10, 3 p.m.
Ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program about reptiles featuring a visit from one of the nature center's resident animal ambassadors. Located at the Glades Road Branch Library! Call the library for details and RSVP at (561) 482-4554.

INTRO TO ARCHERY
Saturday, September 14, 9:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills, and proper use of a bow and arrow before practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: WILD WEBS
