GET technology and the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MXGP team: the perfect combination for success

22 May 2024

Alonte (VI), May 2024. The MXGP Monster Energy Yamaha Factory team has once again chosen to dominate the 450 class with GET's electronic package, a leading brand in the production of motorcycle ECUs and data acquisition systems.

Leveraging experience from prestigious championships like MXGP and AMA Supercross, GET has renewed its collaboration for the 2024 season with the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MXGP team. This partnership provides riders Jago Geerts, Calvin Vlaanderen, and Andrea Bonacorsi (replacing Maxime Renaux) with GET's innovative technology designed to revolutionize track performance.

This renewed partnership offers riders in the premier class of the FIM World Motocross Championship a complete package of advanced electronic technologies, including the new SX1 PRO kit. This kit, first introduced at MXoN 2023, is set to transform the world of motocross

The new SX1 PRO line, dedicated to the world of Off-Road and adopted immediately on the track by the MXGP Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing team, features completely revised hardware with two pre-loaded Racing maps selectable via the revolutionary SX1 Controller multifunction command.

This new handlebar control integrates essential off-road driving functions and, through its 7 integrated LEDs, allows for complete visual control over engine map selection, Launch Control activation, GPA Traction Control level settings, Quick Shifter activation, and engine overheating alerts.

The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MXGP team fully embraces the GET technological package, also choosing MAYA, the programming software that allows complete configuration of the control units, LC-GPA, the device that combines the patented GET GPA Traction Control technology with an electronic Launch Control system, SL1 Smart Logger, the data acquisition system including WINTAX4 GET USER, the complete package of tools for data analysis, and the Lambda LC-1 PRO kit for exhaust gas reading.

Michele Rinaldi, Yamaha Motor Europe Off-Road R&D Manager, confirms that the partnership with GET enables the team to effectively adapt to varying race conditions. He states:

"We sought a reliable partner that could provide significant contributions to the preparation, development, and fine-tuning of the bike, which starts as a standard product and then is enhanced to the maximum for racing activities."

The combination of advanced technology, direct technical support, and highly customizable solutions makes the collaboration between GET and the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MXGP Team an example of excellence, offering athletes superior preparation and a competitive edge in racing.
