PGNO PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO EVACUEES

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental continues to provide support to evacuees in the towns of La Castellana and the cities of La Carlota and Bago. Food packs and potable water are being distributed to ensure their basic needs are met.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) is actively involved in camp coordination and management, while the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) conduct ongoing health monitoring and needs assessments.

The Provincial Government is also working closely with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the affected LGUs to enhance relief efforts following the Mt. Kanlaon eruption.

In addition to meals and snacks, the Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC) continues to provide hot meals to further support the evacuees' well-being.*
