COUNCILMEMBER RUE LANDAU PRESENTS LGBTQ+ HALL OF FAME AWARDS AT FIRST ANNUAL CEREMONY

(Philadelphia, PA) - Councilmember Rue Landau, Philadelphia's first openly LGBTQ+ Councilmember, is honored to present the Philadelphia LGBTQ+ Hall of Fame Awards. In what will be the first annual ceremony, the event celebrates the trailblazers, advocates, and leaders who have made significant contributions to Philadelphia's queer community. Sponsored by the Museum of the American Revolution, Visit Philly, Hazzouri & Associates, and Bellevue Strategies, the ceremony will take place on December 19 from 5-7 PM at the Museum of the American Revolution. This event recognizes LGBTQ+ individuals and organizations whose work has paved the way for progress and whose impact continues to inspire.

"Philadelphia's LGBTQ+ community is a cornerstone of our city's strength and diversity," said Councilmember Rue Landau, "These awards honor the incredible contributions of those who have fought for equity in the city, built inclusive spaces, and championed justice for all. I'm honored to bring everyone together for a celebration of achievements and continued leadership."

This year's honorees represent a wide range of accomplishments, from advancing LGBTQ+ rights and creating affirming spaces to supporting vulnerable members of the community. The evening will include award presentations, remarks from community leaders, and performances by local LGBTQ+ artists.
