A man will face court later this month following a vehicle stop in the state's far west at the weekend.

About 2am on Sunday (14 July 2024), officers attached to Barrier Police District stopped a Ford Falcon on Gypsum Street, Broken Hill, for a random breath test.

After speaking with the driver, the occupants exited the car and during a search police allegedly located and seized drug paraphernalia.

The man was stopped a short time later and allegedly continued to resist police.

An officer deployed his taser and the man was arrested.

During a subsequent search of the man, police allegedly located and seized methylamphetamine and cash.

Three constables were injured during the man's arrest.

The 25-year-old man was taken to Broken Hill Hospital for assessment and treatment before he was later released into police custody and charged with;
