The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, at Palazzo Chigi today.

In the margins of the meeting, a number of bilateral agreements were signed regarding cooperation in the fields of justice and culture, and a joint statement was adopted, expressing the will to strengthen channels of dialogue and collaboration in areas of common interest. The two leaders also discussed the main issues on the regional and international agenda. The visit confirms Italy's commitment to continue strengthening cooperation with Central Asian states.
