- Discovery en Español, Discovery Familia, and Hogar de HGTV to Showcase Engaging and Culturally Rich Programming-
Miami, FL -September 14, 2024 -Warner Bros. Discovery U.S. Hispanic (WBD USH) announced the launch of Hispano Soy, a groundbreaking television event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with original programming and commemorative promotional spots. Hispano Soy will be featured across WBD USH networks, including Discovery en Español, Discovery Familia, and Hogar de HGTV, starting Sunday, September 15.
Discovery en Español will premiere new seasons of the hit shows Desafío X 2 México and Supervivencia al desnudo: Latinoamérica on Thursday, September 19 at 10 pm and 11 pm ET/PT, respectively. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month programming, the network will also feature Te debo una: celebridades y autos; Canelo: la historia de un campeón; Cuban Chrome, and other top shows that highlight the resilience, perseverance, and cultural diversity of Latinos, with high-impact storytelling and immersive experiences. These series, made by Hispanics for Hispanics, will air every Sunday from 2 pm to 7 pm ET starting September 15.
Discovery Familia is set to join the celebration with five special programming blocks on Sundays. The commemorative slate includes the premiere of Kilos mortales: México, an acclaimed documentary series that follows the journey of individuals battling severe obesity, slated to premiere on Sunday, September 22 at 8 pm ET. Additionally, the lineup will feature blockbuster reality shows such as Juntos en Acción, El Toque de Aarón, Quinceañera, and Remodelaciones con celebridades Miami. These selected programs will air every Sunday from 2 pm ET, also starting Sunday, September 15.
Continuing the celebration of Hispanic culture and creativity, Hogar de HGTV will present popular series, including Los hermanos Rausch, which follows two brothers transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary homes, as well as Hogar Star, a competition where aspiring designers vie to become the next big-name in-home styling. These shows will air every Sunday, starting September 15 at 2 pm ET.
This special programming across networks will be unveiled under the Hispano Soy banner, a vibrant promotional campaign featuring engaging short videos across all WBD USH linear and digital properties. The promotional spots, showcasing distinct Hispanic expressions and phrases, celebrate the Hispanic linguistic heritage and foster community pride.
