NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Mount Laurel Township MUA recently closed on a $4,832,547 loan with the NJ Water Bank to implement equipment upgrades in the sludge dewatering building. Key improvements include replacing an old Belt Filter Press, updating the polymer system, and installing new pumps, LED lighting, and ventilation. The MUA aims to enhance operations, lower maintenance costs, and ensure timely biosolid reuse. Without these upgrades, the facility could face more costly liquid hauling, increasing expenses for ratepayers and creating more truck traffic in the area.
