West Nile Virus Spraying Update

Spraying is scheduled in Balch Springs due to West Nile Virus (WNV) positive samples from the following trap locations: Marsha Dr 75180.

Spraying Schedule:

• Tuesday, July 16, 9:00pm to 5:00am
• Wednesday, July 17, 9:00pm to 5:00am

Protect Yourself from Mosquitoes:

• Use Insect Repellent: Apply EPA-registered repellent on exposed skin and clothing.
• Wear Long Sleeves and Pants: Especially during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.
• Use Screens: Ensure windows and doors have screens to keep mosquitoes out.
• Eliminate Standing Water: Remove any standing water around your home where mosquitoes can breed.
• Keep Mosquitoes Out: Use air conditioning or ensure that doors and windows are tightly closed.
