ICANN Extends Operational Design Phase Community Consultation Survey

ICANN is extending the Operational Design Phase (ODP) Community Consultation Survey to 11 October 2024 to facilitate research to better understand and capture lessons-learned from the completed ODP processes.

The survey, announced on 9 September, is intended to determine whether the ODP provided the necessary information to facilitate the Board's decision on the operational impact of implementing a set of policy recommendations by providing relevant information. It includes questions related to the objectives of the ODP, if outreach efforts were sufficient to inform the community, and overall satisfaction with the ODP.

Community input will help ICANN identify opportunities for continuous improvement regarding ODP objectives and related mechanisms in the policy lifecycle to fulfill the needs of the Board, community, and org. Survey responses, along with data previously collected from the ICANN Board, community, and org, will be summarized and presented in a report intended to inform how the lessons learned from the ODP might be incorporated into the Consensus Policy Implementation Framework.

You can access the ODP Community Consultation Survey until 11 October using this link.

If you have any questions about this survey, please contact [email protected].

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address - a name or a number - into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
