Two charged after firearms, drug trafficking paraphernalia seized from residence in Stoughton

On August 28, 2024, Saskatchewan RCMP's Fillmore detachment and Yorkton Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) executed a search warrant at a residence in Stoughton as part of an ongoing investigation.

Officers located and seized:

- a firearm;

- two airsoft firearms;

- ammunition;

- a small amount of cocaine;

- trafficking paraphernalia; and

- a sum of cash.

Two adult males were arrested without incident at the residence.

23-year-old Jyron Englot and 46-year-old Paul Englot, both from Stoughton, are each charged with:

- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code; and

- one count, careless storage of a firearm, Section 86(2), Criminal Code.

Paul Englot is also charged with one count, possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.

Jyron Englot is also charged with one count, breach of release order, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code.

Both appeared in Weyburn Provincial Court on August 29, 2024.
