Annual Rummage RAMPage Begins July 26

AMES, Iowa - The eighth annual Rummage RAMPage begins on Friday, July 26, with donations being accepted. Sales begin on Saturday, July 27, and continue through Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Ames Intermodal Facility parking ramp, 129 Hayward Ave. The City of Ames, in partnership with the ISU Office of Sustainability, hosts this community garage sale designed to keep reusable items out of the waste stream.

The event grew from the desire to repurpose items often left on the curb during the annual move out and lease changeovers, and to keep these items out of the landfill. Rummage RAMPage works by selling items that are donated. Volunteers from local non-profit groups will help run the sale and share in any profit.

This year's event hours are:

Item Drop-off ONLY
• Friday, July 26, noon - 6 p.m.

Sales and Drop-off
• Saturday, July 27, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Sunday, July 28, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Monday, July 29 - Friday, Aug. 2, noon - 6 p.m.

Half-Price Sales (no drop-off)
• Saturday, Aug. 3, 8 a.m. - noon

Donations may be dropped off at the Intermodal Facility from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 26, and during sale hours through Friday, Aug. 2.
