Wednesday, July 24, is the final day to register to vote online or by mail prior to the August 13 Partisan Primary.
"You can still register to vote, but this is the last day to do so online or by mail," said Mayor Rhodes-Conway. "Don't forget, if you need assistance, your professional staff at the City Clerk's office can help."
Voter registration is available at all absentee voting sites when open for voting through the Friday before Election Day. Voters may register at the polls on Election Day.
The Madison City Clerk's Office encourages voters to check their registration at https://MyVote.wi.gov. Anyone who has moved - even to a new apartment in the same building - needs to update their voter registration. Updating your address with the post office or the DMV does not update your voter registration.
Proof of address is needed when registering to vote. Any of these documents can be used to prove address, and may be electronic:
The goal of the City Clerk's Office is that each eligible voter will be able to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted.
