At the November 14th, 2024, meeting, the Board of Directors of the County Supervisors Association honored the service of Pinal County Supervisor Stephen Q. Miller, who completed his year-long term as President of the Association.
During his term as CSA's President, Supervisor Miller led the Association's efforts to forge productive partnerships between county officials and state leaders, with the objective of ensuring policymakers have local feedback and perspective when deliberating policies and mandates. He also championed the continued development of CSA's data analytics capacity, an initiative designed to develop high-quality information to support state and local decision-making.
In addressing his colleagues, Supervisor Miller said, "Thank you everyone for working with me. This year being president has been a very meaningful experience. I enjoyed visiting your counties learning more about issues in your communities. CSA is a great organization and the work we do together and with state leaders is very important to serving our constituents. Thank you for this opportunity."
Incoming CSA President and Yuma County Supervisor Lynne Pancrazi commended Mr. Miller's service, stating, "Pinal County and CSA are so lucky to have you and the knowledge you bring to our association." She also praised his leadership, adding that Supervisor Miller's "kindness, openness, and leadership at our meetings has been amazing. The way you go with the flow puts everyone at ease, and you always make sure everyone is comfortable asking any questions they have. Thank you for your service".
Though Supervisor Miller's term as president is complete, he will continue to serve on CSA's Executive Committee as Immediate Past-President for 2025.
CSA is an intergovernmental partnership of Arizona's 15 counties. All 61 supervisors in the state serve on CSA's Board of Directors. The Association serves as a forum for county leaders to address important issues facing local constituents and to facilitate a partnership between local and state elected officials.
