​Columbia, S.C. (October 11, 2024) - SCDOT will hold a drop-in public information meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2024 regarding a roadway safety project in Charleston County.

The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2024. The meeting will take place at Bethel United Methodist Church, located at 57 Pitt Street, Charleston, SC 29401. SCDOT representatives will be available at the meeting to discuss the proposed project with members of the community. There will be no formal presentation.

SCDOT proposes to implement corridor-wide and location-specific road safety improvements along US 17 Septima P. Clark Parkway. The recommended improvements, such as sign and signal upgrades and enhanced pedestrian crossings, are designed to help reduce and prevent crashes for all roadway users.
