On July 2, 2024, State Police of Brunswick arrested Yasmin M. Vasquez, 25, of Troy, NY, for two counts of Burglary in the second degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools.

On July 2, 2024, at about 4:38 p.m., Troopers responded to a home in Brunswick, NY, for the reports of a known person on the property without permission. On arrival, Vasquez was located in the home's basement and taken into custody. A burglary tool was also located at the residence. Further investigation determined Vasquez reportedly had forcibly entered the home that day and the previous day. While at the home during both crimes, she caused extensive damage to the residence and items within it.

Vasquez was transported to SP Brunswick for processing. She was arraigned at the Schaghticoke Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or $10,000 Bond.
