Questionmark announces new Agreement with the Australian Department of Home Affairs to deliver Citizenship Test Software and System

Questionmark, the leading provider of online assessment solutions, has today announced a new Agreement with the Department of Home Affairs to deliver the Australian citizenship test system with cutting-edge assessment technology. The new software will deliver the same Australian citizenship test more reliably and provides the Department with increased data security.

In 2022-23, 192,947 people became Australian citizens, representing over 200 different nationalities.

With such a diverse range of people applying for citizenship, accessibility and security are key considerations for the assessment which carries with it life-changing implications.

John Kleeman, Founder of Questionmark said, "We are honored to build on our relationship with the Department of Home Affairs. This new Agreement is a testament to our ability to meet the strict system requirements around accessibility and security of Governments and other highly regulated organizations".

Using the Questionmark assessment platform, the Department of Home Affairs' upgraded solution for delivering its citizenship test will mean greater reliability, accessibility, reporting, and security for the thousands of people hoping to become Australian citizens each year.

The Agreement gives the Department of Home Affairs access to industry-leading technology providing consistency, accessibility, and security for their clients.
The new system will have no changes to the way an applicant will access and undertake the test, or to the questions being asked. The Australian citizenship test includes questions on Australian values, Government and the law in Australia, Australia and its people, as well as Australia's democratic beliefs, rights and liberties. The Australian citizenship test was undertaken over 300,000 times from May 2022 to August 2023.
