Shopping Shuttle Returns

Northern Michigan University has again partnered with Marq Tran to offer a free Friday shopping shuttle to students, faculty and staff. Those wishing to utilize the service only need to show their NMU IDs. The shuttle will operate every Friday through April 25, with the exception of Dec. 27.

The shuttle provides transportation to Meijer, Walmart and/or Target beginning at 3 p.m. from lot 9, located outside the Hunt/Van Antwerp lobby. There is a second pick-up time at 4:15 p.m. in lot 9, followed by dropoff and pickup at desired shopping destinations. A second pickup from stores will ensue at 5:30 p.m.

The shuttle will return to campus, stopping at the Lincoln Apartments, the Woods/Spalding Hall, Spooner Hall, Woodland Park, Maple West and lot 9.

In addition to the shopping shuttle, NMU faculty, staff and students are able to access MarqTran's fixed routes at no charge with their NMU ID. More information on the MarqTran's fixed routes can be viewed here.
