The Energy transition is affecting all of us; the houses we live in, the buildings we work in and the infrastructure surrounding us. The Real Estate- and Energy sectors need each other to solve complex issues and achieve great solutions that contribute to the Energy transition. Dentons Amsterdam is bringing together key players from both sectors at 'Property and Power, the Renewable Energy Real Estate Forum'.

After a brief introduction by Amsterdam partner and member of the Dentons Global Board Wendela Raas, Dentons' Global ESG Officer Aragon St-Charles will provide some insights into ESG at Dentons. St-Charles works with all areas of the firm to develop, implement and achieve Dentons' strategic sustainability goals. In his talk, he will share specifics on our commitment to becoming net zero, using science-based targets and reporting within gold-standard frameworks. How has Dentons built a robust, tangible and actionable plan to be not just the largest, but also the leading firm with regards to ESG?

We are excited to announce our keynote speaker: Diederik Samsom (Former Head of Cabinet to the Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Climate Action). He is widely recognized as one of the architects of the Green Deal, the EU's strategy for achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

His keynote will be complemented by four break-out sessions:

• Real estate developments, grid congestion and alternative energy sources. Session led by Heine van Wieren (Business Development, Groendus) and Dirk Jan Gondrie (Dentons)
• The energy transition; yes, we can! But how can we do it affordably and reliably? Session led by Taco Douma (Director Gas, RWE Generation) and Jan Jakob Peelen (Dentons)
• Investment trends in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and how to navigate risks. Session led byLars Rupert (Founding partner and CCO, GIGA Storage) and Marcel Janssen (Dentons)
• Redefining zero-emission air travel and the impact on airport infrastructure. Session led by Daniel Rosen Jacobson (Co-CEO, Elysian Aircraft) and Sebastiaan Wijsman

The afternoon will end with a networking meeting with drinks and canapés.
