Cherokee Nation hosts Fall Harvest at Sequoyah’s Cabin Museum

SALLISAW, Okla. - Cherokee Nation is welcoming the fall season with the annual Fall Harvest event at Sequoyah's Cabin Museum on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests can enjoy fun for all ages on the grounds of the beautiful 10-acre park, including live music, pumpkin decorating, cultural demonstrations and artisan goods available for purchase.

In addition, visitors can take advantage of a fall-themed photo opportunity at both Sequoyah's Cabin Museum and the Saline Courthouse Museum in Rose throughout the fall season.

At Sequoyah's Cabin Museum, visitors can explore the home of Sequoyah, legendary statesman and inventor of the Cherokee syllabary. The museum wraps around the original log cabin that Sequoyah constructed in 1829, along with exhibits that share the stories about Cherokee Old Settlers, Cherokee Nation post-removal and the thriving Cherokee Nation today.
