Council approves balanced budget

[Link]The Huntsville City Council unanimously approved the City's balanced operating budget of more than $328 million in its last meeting in September.

The budget went into effect on Oct. 1 with the start of the 2025 fiscal year.

Highlights of the budget include more than $18 million for road resurfacing, a 12.5% increase in sidewalk construction and a 2% cost-of-living adjustment for City employees.
