Traffic Impact Advisory

City of Brea Public Works project on North Associated Road will severely impact access to and from Country Hills Elementary School during the first weeks of school. Construction will take place directly in front of and adjacent to the entrance of Country Hills Elementary School's parking lot, thereby impacting traffic in and out of the main entrance.

As a result of this project, access to and from the school site will be limited. Here are the important details you need to know:

1. Road Closure: North Associated Road will be closed just east of the parking lot entrance. Therefore, after drop-off or pick-up, only left turns will be allowed back onto North Associated Road.

2. Recommended Route: Access to Country Hills Elementary School will be available via East Birch Street NOT East Lambert Road. Please plan accordingly for delays.

3. Traffic Control: The construction firm will position manned traffic controls to facilitate both northbound and southbound traffic. Additionally, a City of Brea crossing guard will be stationed at the intersection of North Associated Road and Sleepy Hollow Lane.

4. Restrictions: No traffic will be allowed north on North Associated Road to connect to East Lambert Road.

Temporary Arrangements: To mitigate the impact of these limitations, we suggest the following arrangements:

1. Allow Extra Time: Plan to leave home earlier than usual to account for potential delays.

2. Alternative Routes: Please use East Birch Street to access North Associated Road and follow the instructions from the traffic control personnel and signs.

3. Carpooling: We encourage carpooling to reduce the number of vehicles needing access.

4. Walking or Biking: If feasible, walking or biking to school can be a good alternative.

5. Parking:

• Please reserve the school site parking lot for staff parking only and student drop-off and pick-up.
• Parent and additional staff parking is recommended on Wandering Lane adjacent to Country Hills Park. Please be considerate of residents and do not block any driveways.
• No parking is allowed on Country Hills Road as this road is reserved for construction staging and BOUSD buses.

Commuting to High Schools: For those parents and staff that need to commute to Brea Olinda High School and Brea Canyon High School from Country Hills Elementary, please use alternative streets such as North Kraemer Blvd or State College Blvd. These streets will connect you to East Lambert Road, and then you can proceed to Wildcat Way.
