The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public's assistance regarding an incident that occurred at Happyland Park (425 Marion Street) on Friday, August 30, 2024, between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.

Police received more than one report about a teenage female in distress near the riverbank. She was located and transported to hospital for assessment.

Although police have spoken to several people already, they wish to speak to a man and woman who were there around 6:30 p.m. (with a child and two dogs). They believe this couple may have useful information to provide to the investigators.

Anyone who was present (including this mentioned couple) at Happyland Park during this timeframe is encouraged to call investigators in the Child Abuse Unit at 204-986-3296 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org
