NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 31, 2024) - The George Street Pedestrian Plaza will once again open to vehicular traffic between Albany and Bayard streets starting Monday, Sept. 2.
The pedestrian plaza, which has been a destination for outdoor dining, shopping, and events throughout the summer, will revert to its original function as a thoroughfare. However, there's still plenty of time to enjoy the plaza before its closure.
This weekend will be a particularly exciting time to visit, as City Center will be hosting a live chainsaw carving event today, Friday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Watch as a skilled artist transforms a log into a stunning piece of art using nothing but a chainsaw.
So, be sure to head down to the George Street Pedestrian Plaza before it's too late and enjoy the last few days of summer fun.
