UPDATE: Man Arrested for Manslaughter in Belltown Apartment Fire Deaths

A male was arrested on August 12th at approximately 2:50 p.m., in connection to two deaths that occurred on July 10th in a Belltown apartment fire.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m., 911 Dispatch (CARE) received a call for officers to assist Seattle Fire Department with traffic control in the 100 block of Vine Street.

Seattle Fire Department found a 61-year-old deceased man and a 50-year-old woman in critical condition. The female was transported to Harborview Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.

During the investigation, a 65-year-old person of interest was located by police. The man was interviewed by Homicide Unit detectives and later arrested on August 12th.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of Manslaughter.
