Grimaldi's internship encompassed several business and hospitality management sectors at the Rod & Range Club at Nemacolin, a four-season resort in Farmington. Throughout the internship, he interacted daily with customers who were coming to the club and resort and was directly involved with customer satisfaction. He also got to work directly with the supervisor of the Rod & Range Club to learn about all aspects of the club and resort. Grimaldi also worked directly with the club and with customers for the fly fishing services that the club offers.

He said the internship helped him become more comfortable with guest relations and public speaking, both aspects that he will now use in his soon-to-be full-time career after he announced he has accepted a full-time position with the resort and is now a state-licensed fly-fishing guide as well.

Kness was part of an internship at Kness & Associates Insurance and Investments, an insurance and investment organization with four locations in Pennsylvania and Florida. He focused his internship on the commercial insurance area within the organization. Filling the role of inside and outside sales representative for his internship, Kness got to work directly with one of the top representatives in the organization to learn the tools of the trade, offer suggestions for improvements, and work directly with clients to help fill the needs they had. He also was tasked with assisting with commercial audits, producing certificates of insurance, helping with commercial policy changes and commercial payments.

Kness said this internship allowed him to not only use the business aspect of his education but also the marketing aspect as well because he was marketing himself since he was the product that he was trying to sell to connect with his customers. He also said he is already using what he learned in his internship to continue a career in this organization and is currently preparing to complete several certifications and licensing to be able to do more than what he did in his internship.

Penn State DuBois student Carter Lindemuth shares details on his internship experience with the Saint Marys Area School District during the internship presentations on Friday, Aug. 9.

Lindemuth completed a marketing internship with the Saint Marys Area School District, a district that includes a high school, a middle school, and two elementary schools within the area that Penn State DuBois serves. He was tasked with creating social media posts and banners for the school district, as well as acting as a photographer for various projects.

During his internship, Lindemuth worked directly with the superintendent and assistant superintendent, as well as many other individuals within the district. He also completed numerous tasks that involved graphic design work. Lindemuth said that this internship confirmed for him that marketing is what he wants to do for his career.

All three students are currently pursuing bachelor's degrees in business with the management and marketing option.
