Interstate 70 Surface Improvement Begins Monday in Washington County

Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that surface improvement work on Interstate 70 has been rescheduled to begin Monday, August 26, in Donegal Township, Washington County.

Weekday, daylight, single-lane restrictions will be in place from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, between Exit 1 (West Alexander) and Exit 6 (Route 231, Claysville) - eastbound and westbound - and are anticipated through mid-September. All work depends on weather and operations.

Crews from Lindy Paving will be milling and paving with saw cutting of relief joints. This work is a $2.23M infrastructure investment.

Exercise caution while approaching the work zone. Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
