Brown Announces Expanded Commercial Motor Vehicle Training In Springfield

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced an investment at Clark State College to expand Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Safety Training. This investment will help Clark State College recruit and enroll more students into their Commercial Driver's License program, expanding the pipeline into good-paying jobs that require this training and improving road safety.

"Training more commercial vehicle drivers helps meet local demand for skilled workers and equips Ohioans with the skills they need for careers in trucking and other industries," said Brown. "With this investment in Clark State College's Commercial Driver's License program, we are expanding opportunities for Ohioans to get good-paying jobs."

The investment was made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law - legislation that Brown helped write and pass - and will support recruiting and enrollment for CSCC's Commercial Driver License training program.
