UNESCO is supporting the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) in finalizing the draft National Community Media Policy Framework. This framework is pivotal for safeguarding democratic participation, upholding freedom of expression, amplifying marginalized voices, promoting cultural diversity, ensuring access to information, fostering socioeconomic development, maintaining media pluralism, and advancing social inclusion and empowerment.
To ensure the effective implementation of this comprehensive framework, UNESCO is seeking a qualified Consultant who will be responsible for developing an Internal Code of Practice for community media. This code will serve as a guiding document outlining ethical standards, operational procedures, and best practices for community media organizations under this new policy framework.
Deadline: 9 August 2024
