Forbes Names BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee #2 Employer in State

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has once again been named a top employer in Tennessee by Forbes, earning the #2 spot in its 2024 list ofAmerica's Best-in-State Employers.

The list ranked the top 80 employers across the state. With this ranking, BlueCross earned the honor as the top-ranked health care company in Tennessee and the highest-ranked Blue plan nationally on the 2024 list.

This year marks the sixth consecutive time BlueCross has been named to the Forbes Best-in-State Employers list. The company was also recognized in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

To compile the Best Employers by State list, Forbes partnered with research firm Statista. Survey respondents were asked to rate their employers on a scale of zero to 10 and to evaluate employers they'd worked for within the past two years, as well as organizations they knew within their industry or through family and friends who worked there.

The list is divided into 51 rankings, one for each of the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. It was compiled by surveying 160,000 U.S. employees working for businesses with at least 500 employees.

The final list ranked the 1,294 employers that received the highest scores based on recommendations.
