U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Storage across GA, SC for Hurricane Milton

ATLANTA (Oct. 8, 2024) - U-Haul Companies in Georgia and South Carolina confirmed they would continue to extend 30 days of free self-storage disaster relief for families that stand to be impacted by Hurricane Milton.

There are 78 U-Haul self-storage locations in Georgia and 30 in South Carolina available to provide one month of free traditional self-storage or on-site U-Box portable storage to anyone in need. This includes Milton evacuees from Florida as well as local residents preparing for potential flooding and storm surge in the southern and coastal regions of Georgia and South Carolina.

The disaster relief program was extended across both states and much of the Southeast after Hurricane Helene caused extensive flooding and residential damage in many communities. The offer will remain intact in the coming weeks for those needing help during the recovery process from Milton or Helene.
