PVAMU Athletic Director Anton Goff appointed to NCAA FCS Oversight Committee

[Link]PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Sept. 5, 2024) - Prairie View A&M University's Athletic Director, Anton Goff, has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Oversight Committee. His term began on August 29, 2024, and will run through June 30, 2027.

"This is a tremendous opportunity, and I'm truly honored to serve on the FCS Oversight Committee," Goff said.

The FCS Oversight Committee is responsible for overseeing the selection procedures and qualifications for the FCS Championship, as well as addressing matters related to the event. Additionally, the committee advises the NCAA Football Rules Committee on regulations governing Division I FCS play.

Comprised of 17 members, including representatives from each FCS conference, the committee is focused on enhancing FCS football and fostering a holistic student-athlete experience. Key priorities include personal growth and leadership development for athletes both on and off the field.

In collaboration with other governing bodies, the committee will also offer recommendations concerning the regular season and postseason, with a focus on the health, safety, and overall development of student-athletes.
