The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns in the strongest terms the brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza which claimed the lives of over 150 Palestinian civilians and left countless others injured, while causing massive destruction to infrastructure and homes. This atrocity is a direct consequence of the international community's failure to implement its resolutions and honor its obligations, a failure that emboldens the occupation to escalate its systematic crimes and continue its deliberate destruction of Gaza, rendering it uninhabitable and forcibly displacing its population.
The ongoing devastation in northern Gaza, now expanding into Gaza City is not an act of self-defense or security. It is a calculated policy aimed at obliterating Palestinian existence in the Strip, dismantling any prospect of the realization of a Palestinian state, and reducing the Palestinian cause to a mere humanitarian issue requiring aid programs.
The Ministry holds the international community accountable for its inaction in protecting the Palestinian people and stopping this genocide and forced displacement. The Ministry demands an immediate end to the genocidal war, the provision of international protection for the Palestinian people, and the implementation of United Nations resolutions without any delay.
