Get to know our new and recently promoted leaders at Levi Strauss & Co. through these Quick Qs. Here, meet Jude Celedin, our new general manager of Australia and New Zealand.

What did you do before joining LS&Co.?

The large majority of my experience was garnered over my 24-year journey with Nike. I was fortunate to have worked with both retail and wholesale teams, across geographies and within the global business.

What attracted you to LS&Co.?

Levi's® is a brand that has always resonated with me from a product point of view; however, most recently I've also been attracted to:

• The values of the business, as they resonate closely with my personal values.
• The focus on sustainability - it's the right thing to do.
• The shift to owning more of the connection and conversation with the consumer in being brand-led and DTC-first. Partners are critical in most markets, but brands need to own their own destiny - the brand should be led by the brand.

What does success look like in your job?

Success in my job means having a team of people that are aligned, excited and find value in the work we collectively do.

How do you unwind?

I unwind by swimming in the ocean, running and enjoying a glass of pinot noir.

What was your most valued possession as a child?

A pair of Nike Air 180s, but they were stolen before I got to wear them.
