Branchton Road Railroad Crossing Closure in Slippery Rock Township, Butler County

​Indiana, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing a closure on Branchton Road (Route 4010) between the intersections of Route 8 and New Hope Road (T-430) in Slippery Rock Township, Butler County as Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad performs railroad crossing work beginning November 11 at 7 AM through November 19, 2024, at 6:30 PM.

To detour from the east side of the railroad tracks, motorists will travel east on Branchton Road and turn north onto Route 308, continuing into Venango County. Travel through Clintonville and turn left taking Route 208 into Barkeyville. Turn left onto Route 8 and continue south into Butler County. Continue straight on Route 8 and turn left onto Branchton Road.

The detour from the west side of the railroad tracks, motorists will travel west on Branchton Road then turn right onto Route 8 and travel north into Venango County. Continue on Route 8 into Barkeyville. Turn right onto Route 208 and continue east into Clintonville. Turn right on Route 308 and continue south into Butler County. Travel south on Route 308 then turn right onto Branchton Road.
