For the Blazer fan

• Help your Blazers update their spirit gear by shopping in-store or online at the UAB Bookstore, the only home to merchandise with the new UAB brand. Find shirts, sweatshirts and tumblers with the new logo online or shop in-store to find additional polos and hooded sweatshirts. The UAB Bookstore will offer various discounts online and in-store throughout the month of December.
• Bring UAB home for the holidays with a custom Blaze ornament that will support students through the School of Health Professions Student Scholarship Fund.
• Purchase a way for the true Blazer to display pride on their vehicle with a UAB license plate.
• For the Blazer sports fan, purchase UAB Athletics season tickets for Men's Basketball or Women's Basketball. Email [email protected] or call the UAB Athletics Ticket Office at 205-975-UAB1.
• The UAB Athletics' 2024-25 Gold Card provides access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball and Baseball. This card is not valid for AAC or NCAA Championship events. Prices are $65 for one card, $120 for two cards, $165 for three and $200 for four. • For a one-time $25 enrollment fee, a little Blazer fan can join the Growing Up Green and Gold program and receive a special surprise for milestones until they are 16. The program is open to children and grandchildren of UAB alumni or fans. Children may be enrolled at any age from birth to 16 years old. Growing Up Green and Gold is presented by Legacy Credit Union. Enroll up to four children today.

Explore the arts or give an arts experience

• Give gift certificates or tickets to upcoming performances presented by UAB's Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center.
• Have a budding artist or actor? Support their dreams with the gift of an arts class or summer camp from ArtPlay Community Education. Gift certificates are also available.
• Give an arts membership and treat them to exclusive benefits. It is the perfect present for those who are truly passionate about the arts, or who want to be first to hear about upcoming performances.

Fun events for the family

• Blazer Claus will be Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Alumni House. Get in the holiday spirit with this one-of-a-kind experience with Blaze. A $35 family ticket for up to five family members includes:
  • Pictures with Blaze
  • A meet and greet with Santa Claus, including a professional photograph
  • Holiday card coloring station, ornaments, crafts and games
  • A hot chocolate bar and snacks, plus a special gift for participants
  • Growing Up Green and Gold members can get a VIP experience before the doors open.

• Kids on your list could go to URec day camp and participate in adventure sports, engaging crafts, aquatic activities and everything else the UAB Campus Recreation Center has to offer. Camps for children ages 5-12 are from Dec. 23-Jan. 7. Choose from one or both full sessions, individual days, or a customized combination.
• Blazer Buddies is the official Kids Club of UAB Athletics, open to all children ages 12 and under. Blazer Buddies will receive a Kids Club ID, which grants admission to all Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball and Baseball games. Memberships are available for $35.
• Enjoy Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, with the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine Jewish Medical Student Association, the Heersink Office of Access and Engagement, and the Medical Student Office of Access and Engagement during the annual 9-foot menorah lighting.

Give the gift of giving

• Little Blazer Wishes is a yearly drive that provides gifts and support to UAB students with children during the holidays. This is an opportunity for the community to help make the holidays special for families facing the challenges of stressful holiday shopping and exam season all at once. • The UAB Toy Drive, now in its 29th year, is collecting toys for the U.S. Marines' Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at collection boxes around campus, or you can donate virtually through our online wish lists.
• UAB Staff Council has partnered with the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children to support their annual Christmas Present Drive. CASA of Jefferson County's annual gift drive provides Christmas gifts or winter clothing for needy and deserving kids in Family Court cases whose legal custodians simply cannot afford them.
