Virginia ABC to Host Grand Opening in Lovettsville

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. - Customers in Loudoun County's Town of Lovettsville have a new, convenient option to purchase spirits and Virginia wines with the opening of the latest Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) retail outlet at 2 Hammond Drive, Suite 120. Virginia ABC officials will host a grand opening ceremony at the store on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 10:30 a.m.

"Our teammates look forward to serving customers in Lovettsville at this new location," said CEO Dale Farino, who will speak and cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. "As Virginia ABC celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, we are proud to serve all Virginians by generating revenues from new stores like this one that help make the commonwealth the best place to live, work and raise a family. Virginia ABC has returned more than $2.9 billion to the commonwealth in the last five years to fund essential services including education, public safety, transportation and infrastructure."

The public is invited to the ceremony, which will include brief remarks by Farino and Lovettsville Mayor Christopher Hornbaker, a ribbon cutting, photos and informal store tours.

This 2,125-square-foot store offers more than 1,300 different products. It is the first store in Lovettsville. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Customers are encouraged to visit Virginia ABC's website at http://www.abc.virginia.gov to search for stores, determine the availability of products at any retail location and order spirits online for in-store or curbside pickup or home delivery in select areas.
