Bridge was closed in May after being damaged by a vehicle strike; repairs complete

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Route 34 bridge spanning Little Buffalo Creek in Newport Borough, Perry County, is open to traffic. The bridge was closed in May between Mulberry Street and Bloomfield Avenue due to damage from a vehicle strike.

Repairs to the bridge have been completed. The detour associated with the closure has been lifted.
